Dr. Bettez came to Alice Hyde Medical Center after 8 years of practice as a general Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon in Montreal. He held a teaching position at the University of Montreal School of Medicine in the Otolaryngology Head and Neck program. Before relocating to Malone, Dr. Bettez served as Chief of the Otolaryngology Department at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital in Montreal. He is the co-inventor of the adjusted laryngeal implant for unilateral vocal cord paralysis. Dr. Bettez is a graduate of the University of Montreal School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. His fields of interest are: general otolaryngology, sinus endoscopic surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, laryngology, laser snoring and head-neck oncology.
